Perivale Community Hive
In 2019, to ensure Perivale Library could continue to serve the community in the face of closure by Ealing Council, together with
other trustees and local residents Patryk Starzykowski, Alannah McGovern, Derick Kazilege, Iwona Jakubowska, and Magda Flynn (group photo below), I set up Perivale Community
Hive (PCH) a Community Managed Library (CML).
I undertook the legal work to set PCH up as a registered charity, and negotiated all the legal agreements with the
Council.
The CML was meant to open last year but, like everything else, was postponed by Covid lockdowns. Now, finally, on
17th April 2021 the Library has opened. Initially for two days per week - Saturdays and Tuesdays.
